These Umps Pants are made from a dense cotton poplin woven as densely as possible using super fine yarn: 80/1 cotton for the warp and a 60/1 cotton/hemp blend for the weft. To give the fabric a firm and elastic touch with a worn-in look, the fabric undergoes a salt-shrinking treatment in which it is gently massaged with salts to create a stiff, dense fabric, then stretched out and beaten in order to relax the fibers. The quality of the water at the processing plant and the compatibility of the fabric with the water is what makes this material possible. The waist is adjustable with elastic and a drawstring, so the size should be chosen solely based on pant length.
