編み立てた粒立が大きい
ワッフル素材を使用したポロ
ラフィは落ち綿ですが
独特のムラ感はクラシカルな表情があります
また鍵針を独自に改良し
ワッフルの粒が寝ないように
工夫して編み立てました
編み立て後、ロール状になった生地を
裁断前に一度解き放ち
生地にかかっていた負荷をなくすことで
製品に組み上げたあとの安定性を高めました
この放反を行うことで 生地自体が安定し
着用、洗濯による過度の歪みや縮みが起こりにくくなりました
デザインは1940年ごろの
アメリカBaseball球団オーナーが着用していた襟付きシャツをベースに
恰幅の良かったオーナーをイメージした
大きめの設計です

This polo uses waffle fabric with highly-raised ridges, made by knitting (paralleled) 19//1 Raffy cotton yarn with a double jacquard machine. Raffy is a recycled yarn made from cotton waste, and its distinctive unevenness gives it a classical look. We have also made improvements to the knitting hooks that enable the waffle fabric to be knitted with ridges that do not lay flat. After knitting, the fabric is unrolled and relaxed before cutting to release built-up tension in the fabric, which improves the stability of the final assembled product. This unrolling process stabilizes the fabric itself and makes it resistant to excessive distortion and shrinkage due to wear and washing. The design was inspired by collared shirts worn by American baseball team owners in the 1940s and is larger in size to fit such stoutly-built owners.
