レピア織機を使用して
奥行きのある色合いを生地で表現しました
ウール織り生地は本来洗い
縮絨により独特の膨らみや表情に仕上げますが
このアウォードジャケットは
1900年代初頭のクラシカルな表情にするため
縮絨をせず
柔らかみのない
油分が抜けた風合いにしました
デザインはゆったりしたシルエットに
ボリューム感のある2枚袖
衿リブはコンパクトなシングルタイプのBaseball仕様です
中綿が入っていない分
裏地には防風性の高い高密度タフタを使用
厚手のインナーも無理なく着用できる工夫をしました
表は守って
裏は攻めます

The Award Jacket features a rare double-woven melton fabric with only the warp having two layers. For multicolor weaving, a rapier loom was used instead of a shuttle loom to express the deep colors in the fabric. While typical wool fabric is finished by washing and fulling it to provide its unique texture and fullness, we omitted the fulling so that the jacket would lack softness and be oil-free to achieve a classic look reminiscent of the early 1900s. The design features a relaxed silhouette, voluminous double sleeves, and a compact single-rib collar like they use in baseball. While there is no padding, we used high-density taffeta lining for the backing to provide wind protection. We also made accommodations to allow for the thick inner layers to be worn comfortably.
