The Umps Pants is made of a high-density fabric woven with dry-looking nepped yarn. To give it a rough look, organic cotton yarn is woven as is without conditioning. The fabric is then scoured to give it a drier feel for summer wear. The design was inspired by baseball umpire pants, with large pockets situated between the waist and hips that could be used to hold spare balls.
