Charcoal has been used as a dye and art material since ancient times, offering various environmental and health benefits, including antibacterial properties and negative ion effects. It was also used in baseball uniforms in the early 1900s, presumably for its insect-repelling properties. This charcoal-dyed fabric we’re releasing achieves its blurred appearance through an analog dyeing process applied after brushing. This creates a unique, faded expression. The design references shirts worn by baseball managers and coaches, incorporating shirt details like double-layered shoulder panels, back pleats, and a stepped hem, while adding functional features for outerwear use including ring dot buttons, side seam pockets, and elastic shirring at the cuffs.
