Dotsume Tenjiku is a uniformly dense jersey fabric knitted on loopwheel machines. Using American cotton, this results in an approximately 11.5 oz weight fabric. The uniformly tight gauge allows it to resist distortion and maintain its shape even after repeated wearing and washing. The fabric also has a sturdiness and crispness that keeps it from clinging to the skin, making it comfortable to wear. Using our in-house factory’s expertise in sewing this thick, sturdy fabric, we pieced together this long-sleeve t-shirt with secure ribbing at the neckline, cuffs, and hem to achieve a puffy, sweatshirt-like fit, creating a gap between the fabric and skin that makes it comfortable to wear from early spring.
