The Bambino Shirt is crafted from a luxurious jersey fabric knitted from extra-thick cotton yarn using a rare, low-gauge auto-striper knitting machine. To add greater dimension to the fabric, the yarn is pre-dyed before knitting, which results in a unique texture that combines heft with suppleness, setting it apart from ordinary thick jersey. The shirt’s design draws inspiration from the oversized pullover shirts worn by legendary American two-way players. It features a relaxed fit with dropped shoulders, high armholes reinforced with double stitching to account for the fabric’s thickness, a stand collar and neckline with a laid-back look, and a deep front placket like those seen on baseball uniforms. The openings are reinforced with diamond-shaped stitching to enhance durability, while sleeve plackets and side slits make the shirt easy to put on and take off, ensuring that it stands up to repeated use.
