This crisp cloth is woven using 15D ultra-fine nylon yarn in the warp and 80/1 blended cotton yarn in the weft to give it a dry quality. To highlight the look of the natural material, only extra-long staple cotton with a fiber length of at least 35 millimeters is used for the weft yarn. This creates lightweight fabric with a smooth, lustrous sheen and a surface that not only looks dry, but actually dries quickly after washing. The design draws inspiration from the waist silhouette of baseball umpires, with large gusseted pockets resembling those used to hold spare balls. The waistband includes elastic and an adjustable drawstring that allows the pants to be expanded by about 10 centimeters beyond the finished size. We streamlined the overall silhouette by tapering the pant legs sharply towards the hem.
