We used nylon and polyester yarn to express a pattern on nylon taffeta base fabric. By leaving white undyed spots on the covered polyester yarn, the entire pattern takes on a faded, blurred look. To further enhance the rustic feel, we finished the fabric with a wrinkle treatment to create a rough texture. The nylon and polyester materials come from GRS-certified recycled yarn. The water-repellent finish is non-fluorinated and environmentally friendly. The windowpane pattern was adopted for use on baseball uniforms in the 1940s and is closely associated with the sport. This time, we created the design by applying that pattern to the smock shirts once worn by stadium groundskeepers.
