The Award Jacket uses Dotsume Tenjiku jersey knitted from American cotton on loopwheel knitting machines. This extra-thick, approx. 11.5 oz material leverages the characteristics of loopwheel knitting machines, which are capable of producing uniform, tightest possible knit, and is resistant to shrinkage and warping even after repeated wear and washing. The design of this jacket is based on the relaxed and rounded silhouettes of award jackets from the mid-20th century. It has been modernized by lowering the armholes and sleeve angles to prevent the shoulders and elbows from appearing bulky, resulting in a clean, contemporary look. Featuring extended sleeve lengths and a shirt collar, these classic details are complemented by a bright color, garment-dyed to match the essence of spring.
