These shorts are made of a firm needle-less ribbed fabric. The needle-less rib is a method of knitting with a crochet hook that intentionally does not apply thread when knitting, and is characterized by a unique stripe pattern. The ribs originally were used for the cuffs and neck, where there is a lot of stretch, so they have a moderate firmness and stretchiness, and they also have a bouncy feel, so they create a beautiful silhouette.
