90% Wool, 10% Nylon

This sturdy melton fabric is inspired by the flat, dense texture of traditional pennant cloth. It is heavily fulled until the weave becomes invisible, then cleanly sheared for a firm, compact hand. While it retains the moisture-retaining and insulating qualities of wool, it uses TOP-dyed recycled wool-fibers dyed in the unspun stage-giving the material a deep, melange-like color while incorporating a sustainable approach. This award jacket pairs the melton body with leather armhole detailing. The shoulders are compactly tailored with an added back yoke for mobility, while the generous arm volume, three-dimensional sleeves, and wider body allow easy layering. The overlapping single rib enhances warmth, and the welt pockets are trimmed with leather. The leather armhole panels reference vintage varsity styles but are shaped to avoid a boxy shoulder line, creating a clean, modern silhouette. The jacket uses shrink-processed cowhide, which develops natural grain through controlled contraction, offering a soft, supple feel, high durability, and resistance to visible scratches or staining from light rain or snow.
