This award jacket is made from melton fabric that has been carefully felted until the original weave is no longer visible, reminiscent of vintage team pennants found at ballparks. By precisely controlling the felting process and trimming the surface nap, the fabric is finished with a smooth, refined texture that still holds a quiet depth. The material is a classic wool melton, offering natural warmth and moisture retention. Top-dyed recycled wool is used to bring depth to the color, while also taking a considered approach to sustainability. The silhouette is designed with a compact shoulder and a back yoke for ease of movement. Three-dimensional patterning is applied around the sleeves, and the balance with the body length has been carefully adjusted—updating the traditional award jacket into a lighter, more refined form. Shrink cow leather, finished with a naturally grained texture, is used to reinforce the armholes and pocket welts. It has a soft, supple feel and offers practicality by making scratches less noticeable, while the contrast between materials adds a subtle depth to the overall look.
