The Ground Jumper jacket is made from Shetland wool, which is known for its plush texture, sourced from the Shetland Islands in northern Scotland. The wool has been knitted into jersey fabric using Italian sliver knitting machines. These machines knit fabric directly from slivers of wool without twisting the fibers, preserving their natural loft. Thanks to this unique structure, the fibers trap plenty of warm air, resulting in a lightweight yet highly insulating fabric. Thus, despite its thickness, it feels surprisingly light and envelops the body in a gentle warmth. The design of the jacket is inspired by the jackets worn by baseball stadium groundskeepers and has been reconstructed from a different perspective than the Award Jacket. Intended to be worn as a mid-layer, its slightly compact fit makes it versatile for layering and gives it a well-balanced silhouette that is easy to incorporate into everyday outfits. The classic, gentle drop-stitch rib knit used for the ribbing complements the texture of the body fabric, tying the overall look together and integrating seamlessly with the feel of the material. The Ground Jumper combines lightness, warmth, and ease of movement while blending elegance with practicality.
