Fall & Winter 2026
The BN (Back Nep) Jacket is crafted from “Back Nep” fabric, which uses a blend of American and Australian cotton with neps (knotted fibers) that are introduced intentionally during the carding process. To showcase the textured appearance of these fibers of varying thicknesses and lengths, the fabric is woven on a rapier loom, which adds tensile strength to the yarn and enhances the fabric’s durability. The fabric is then dyed, omitting the mercerization process. This preserves the neps’ unique three-dimensional look and natural texture, resulting in a tastefully rough fabric. Finally, we apply a stiff resin finish to give the fabric just the right amount of crispness and improve its wind resistance, while also ensuring that it retains its shape well after washing. The design of the jacket is a reinterpretation of the moderately roomy, two-button tailored jackets worn by baseball players and commissioners in the 1930s. Details such as jetted pockets with flaps and side vents ensure practicality for everyday use while preserving the classic look of the era. We have incorporated our own unique enhancements on the inside as well, such as a triangular inner pocket sized to fit gift money envelopes, a classic facing finish, and base-shaped flap pockets.
