This sweatshirt hoodie is made from loopwheel terry material, carefully knitted on old-fashioned loopwheel knitting machines using organic open-end cotton for the front yarn. The most distinctive feature of these machines is that they separate the back loops—which are typically made with a single structure—into two types of parts, allowing for precise control over density and loop size. This allows us to achieve a loop structure with a plush, gentle texture while preserving the softness and lightness characteristic of loopwheel terry. The fabric has a firmness and stability that helps it to resist distortion and maintain its shape after washing, giving this casual sweatshirt a more polished look like that of a jacket. Meticulously crafted from the selection of the materials to the design of the knit, it is truly fit to be called a “premium sweat” fabric. The design was inspired by the “retrofitted hoodies” of the 1930s, developed by adding hoods to sweatshirts to boost their warmth.
