The BN (Back Nep) Award Coat is made from “Back Nep” fabric, created by blending dry-touch American and Australian cotton with neps intentionally formed during the carding process. Woven on a rapier loom for added strength and durability, the fabric is dyed without mercerization to retain its natural texture and understated ruggedness. A resin finish gives the fabric a crisp feel, improving wind resistance while helping it maintain its texture and shape after washing. Based on a mid-length award coat, the silhouette flares gently toward the hem for ease of movement and a lighter feel. Large oval patch pockets and interior pockets add practicality, while sleeve lining ensures smooth layering and a cotton body lining provides comfortable moisture control. Balancing texture, durability, and function, the BN Award Coat offers a refined look that sits between casual and formal.
